Atal Incubation Centre - KUFOs successfully conducted Office Hours – Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on 15 October 2026, helping our innovators connect with experts and receive valuable guidance on patenting their products and protecting their innovations.

Blue Innovation – Pitch Fest 2026

AIC-KUFOS, in association with the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), successfully hosted Blue Innovation – Pitch Fest 2026 on 18 September 2026 as part of Swachh Sagar, Surakshit Sagar (SSSS) 5.0.
Under the theme “Marine Litter & Coastal Waste Management,”young innovators and researchers showcased promising solutions for marine litter, microplastics, ghost fishing and coastal waste management.
Congratulations to our winners, Lakshmi Vijayakumar and Chinnu Remanan, for their outstanding ideas and presentations.

Atal Incubation Centre - KUFOS organized an orientation session for newly admitted M.Sc. students at KUFOS on “Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy.” The session brought together inspiring insights on the startup ecosystem, student entrepreneurship, opportunity identification, and transforming academic ideas into impactful ventures.
With valuable sessions by Jinesh Mathew, Nasif N.M , Head of Programmes, Kerala Startup Mission , and S R Nair Director on Board Boxpush India Pvt Ltd, participants explored the entrepreneurial journey, innovation, leadership, and real-world problem-solving.
The program also featured a hands-on workshop led by Fathima Asharaf, Ph.D, Technical Manager, AIC-KUFOS, where students worked in groups to identify real-life challenges and propose innovative, technically feasible, and marketable solutions.
Through initiatives like these, AIC-KUFOS continues to inspire students to turn knowledge into innovation and ideas into impactful ventures, contributing to a sustainable and entrepreneurial blue economy.
